日前，PPG涂料（天津）有限公司新增投资5000万美元，主要用于加大研发投入，以拓展新产品、抢占新市场，巩固其在涂料行业的技术领先地位。Recently, PPG Coatings (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. made an additional investment of USD 50 million for increasing its R&D input to develop new innovative products, penetrate new markets, and enhance its technology leadership in the coatings industry.
诞生于1883年的PPG是财富500强企业，连续多年被《财富》杂志评为全球最受称羡的化学品公司，业务遍及全球超过70个国家。PPG涂料（天津）有限公司于1994年4月在天津经开区注册成立，是目前PPG全球最大的涂料生产基地。随着生产基地产品的不断升级，PPG公司在经开区不断加大研发投入，先后投资PPG全球涂料创新研究院和PPG电动汽车及智能出行创新应用中心并于2023年相继投用。PPG在泰达的持续投入和快速发展，充分展现了其扎根天津、深耕泰达的决心和信心。PPG Industries.
